How we handle your information.

We collect as little as possible, store almost nothing, and follow HIPAA for the rest. Plain-English summary first; the formal Notice of Privacy Practices is below.

On our servers

Just 3 things

Name. Email. Phone number. That's it. No medical records, no notes, no photos, no weights.

On your phone

Everything else

Your dose history, weights, side-effect notes, and progress photos live in the app on your device — not on our servers.

In Channa's cabinet

Paper charts

Clinical notes Channa is legally required to keep are written by hand at each visit and filed in a locked, fire-safe cabinet. No cloud, no breach surface.

Why this matters

Less data, less to leak.

Most wellness apps treat your body like a database. We don't. The fewer places your information lives, the safer it is — and the more it stays yours.

The list

What we keep, what we don't.

What we store

  • Your name
For booking confirmations and your chart.
  • Your email
To send appointment reminders and receipts.
  • Your phone number
    For day-of texts and emergencies.
  • Booking history
Date, time, address of past visits — to make rebooking easy.
  • Stripe customer ID
Stripe holds the card; we hold a token. We never see card numbers.

What we don't

  • Your weight or measurements
Stored only on your phone in the GLP-1 app.
  • Progress photos
Live in your phone's gallery — never uploaded to us.
  • Daily journal / side-effect notes
    Yours alone, on-device.
  • Credit card numbers
Held by Stripe — we never see them.
  • Location tracking
We don't track where you are. We only know the address you gave us for the visit.
  • Marketing trackers
No third-party ad pixels. No Meta. No selling lists.
HIPAA

Notice of Privacy Practices.

Effective May 2026. This notice describes how medical information about you may be used and disclosed and how you can get access to it. Please review it carefully.

Your rights

You can ask to see or get a copy of your medical record, ask us to correct it, ask for confidential communication (e.g. don't call this number), ask us to limit what we share, get a list of who we shared it with, and file a complaint with us or the U.S. Office for Civil Rights without retaliation.

How we may use & share your information

For treatment (your care), to run our practice (scheduling, billing, quality), and to bill for services. We share with your other providers only when you direct us to or when required by law (public health, court order, abuse reporting, workers' comp).

What we will never do

Sell your information. Use it for marketing without your written permission. Share psychotherapy notes (we don't keep any) without your consent.

Communication preferences

By giving us your phone or email, you agree to appointment reminders and care-related messages. You can opt out of any non-essential message at any time by replying STOP.

Breach notification

If a breach affects your unsecured protected health information, we'll let you know — by mail or email — within 60 days, with what happened, what was involved, and what you should do.
